1927 STEINWAY A3

The Music Teachers Association of Alameda County (MTACAC) presents for sale this Golden Era Steinway Model A3, SN 250208, which was crafted at the New York Steinway Factory in 1927. Steinway's venerated Model A3 at 6'4.5" is larger than its predecessors, the A and A2 and yet smaller than 7' Model B, and is the instrument of choice for piano/music studios and smaller concert venues. The A3 is desirable for its balanced and even scale design and sound output, which many say is comparable to its larger bretheren, the Model B. Only manufactured between 1913-1946, the A3 is appreciated today by piano enthusiasts and collectors for its unparalleled quality of sound. The piano is located in a private piano studio in Berkeley. Please contact me to request a viewing of this piano. Professional piano movers must arranged and paid for by the buyer. Moviong dolly is included. Price for MTACAC members: $12,999. This Yamaha Model G2 Grand Piano (plus adjustable chair/bench) located in Orinda, CA, and was used it in a climate controlled home studio as my "2nd piano"-- it has had less use than my main teaching and personal practice piano, and it's in very good condition. The G2 model is 5' 7". Date is 1968-69, but original owners did not play it, thus it was "like new", in perfect condition, when purchased just over 10 years ago. Pretty firm on $8,500. "Rent-to-Own" is a possibility for MTAC members or their students. Lovely 1906 Steinway model O, 5’10”. It was rebuilt in 2018 with new pin block, new strings and restrung, extensive action work and regilded iron frame by Galen Woodruff of “Woodruff Piano Lagunitas”. The piano was refinished several decades ago, so the finish is not perfect, but it is very presentable and both a highly figured mahogany cabinet. Perfect, original soundboard, free from cracks. It has been regularly played, tuned, and checked on. A grand piano in excellent condition.
$16,000 or best offer. For more information, please contact me at psiegwart@gmail.com or (510) 292 1200.
