Registration Period: September 1 - September 30, 2024 (deadline at 11:59 pm)
CM database open for registration. NO late registrations under any circumstances. After entering all student information, verify the information for accuracy on your Student List.
Branches are no longer administering CM Evaluations.

If you need to change your email address or enter your information for the first time, click on your username in the top right corner, then click “My Profile”. Please inform the CM Chair if you have changed your email address after Oct. 31.
Registration Fee Due: October 1-5, 2024 at 11:59pm
After entering all student info, verify the information on your Student List.
Please note: The 2024 Registration fee will be paid online, with the payment completed directly by parents through the online portal at new.mtac.org. The teacher and parents must check all application details (grade, level, Senior Award, Panel, YAG) before the payment is made, as no changes can be made after completion of the payment.
Winter-Spring: January-April : EVALUATION INFORMATION, SCHEDULING, AND EVALUATION
Attention: Piano Syllabus 2012 is required for the 2024 CM evaluation. Errata are available at the Teacher’s Homepage MTAC Portal.
Enter Student Evaluation Information Online: December 15, 2024.
The CM database is open for entering Student Evaluation Information, Branch Honors and the preliminary Convention Recital application by 12/15/24. Teachers must fill out the Student Evaluation Information forms completely and correctly, paying close attention to the piece chosen from the Syllabus so that compliance with level requirement may be verified. The Branch, CM Council, and State Board of Directors are not responsible for teacher errors. (CM Policy V-6)

Levels Prep-9: February 8-18, 2025
Level 10, Panel, YAG: January 18-28, 2025
Evaluation Results:
Levels Prep - 9: March 10, 2025
Level 10, Panel, YAG: February 26, 2025

Branch Honors Recitals: (Students level 5 and up are eligible)
Berkeley Piano Club, Saturday, April 12, 2025, Multiple recitals 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Branch Honor Requirement: Student must have received scores of EXCELLENT on Repertoire and Technique and Good or Excellent on Sight Reading, with a Theory score of 80% or above.
Convention Application Deadline: April 15 (Students level 3 and up are eligible) Instructions and application online on the MTAC Certificate of Merit website.
Make-Up Procedure Application Deadline: April 15
High school students only. Contact Branch CM Chair for the procedure, make-up application form and fee.
Summer: June-July CONVENTION
